Goscomb Technologies offer a range of hardware firewalls based either on Cisco Systems or Juniper Networks (formerly Netscreen) equipment, depending on customer preference. All firewalls provided are current models, dedicated solely to you, and are under vendor support contract as well as being backed by our own support teams.

Managed vs. Un-Managed

Managed firewalls are perfect for those who do not wish to have the hassle and stress of looking after a hardware firewall. Confusing to many, firewalls are very powerful pieces of equipment and as such they can be complicated to set up and use. With a managed firewall we take this workload away from your staff allowing them to concentrate on looking after your business applications meaning no in-house expertise is required.

Firewall management includes configuration, maintenance and monitoring of any firewalls including log analysis.

Should you simply wish to rent firewall hardware from us you should take an un-managed option. Support on our un-managed service covers only hardware faults, all day to day administration tasks are carried out by the customer.
