Transferring a domain in

UK domains are free to transfer. All others incur a 1 year charge, however your domain will at the same time be extended by one year.
Charges are available on our Domains page.

• Go to "Domains" in your Customer Area (opens in a new page);
• Click "Initiate transfer in";
• Fill in the appropriate details. These will appear in the whois database.
  Please remember: "Fields marked with a * are required.". Also, the phone number should be in the format +44.203129440, if it isn't, you will be greeted with an error when try trying to continue;
• On the next step, you will be asked to enter the IP of the server you wish to point the domain at (eg. the server hosting your website).
• Once complete, you will be presented with our IPS Tag. Provide this to your current registrar to delegate the domain to our servers.
  NB: If applicable for your TLD (eg. '.com', or '.net'), you may need to "un-lock" the domain , before any changes can be made.

Transferring a domain out

This must be initiated by the registrar you wish to transfer it to. The interface may be different, however the process will be similar to ours for transferring in. NB: If applicable for your TLD (eg. '.com', or '.net'), you may need to "un-lock" the domain , before any changes can be made.
