If you purchased one of our VPS before August 2008, you will be hosted on our 1st generation platform.
Whilst we continue to support the platform for the customers already on it, there are a number of benefits to the new platform. Some of these benefits include:

• Improved redundancy provided by our new clustered platform;
• True KVM virtualisation via VNC, allowing the use of a GUI, with mouse emulation;
• Automatic load-balancing between nodes, guaranteeing consistent performance for all VPS;
• Remote reboots & VM management provided through your Customer Area (under development);

To take advantage of the options available on the new platform, you will be required to migrate your system.
Due to the structural differences of the services, migration is a manual process: we provide you with a fresh VPS on the new platform & allow you a period of time with which to migrate your services. Once this is complete, your old VPS will then be removed.
